What is a yellow fever certificate (ICVP)?

ICVP stands for "International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis" and is an official WHO document that proves you are vaccinated against yellow fever. Several countries require this certificate on entry if you have been in an area with a risk of yellow fever.

How long is the certificate valid?

In 2016 the WHO decided that the yellow fever certificate is valid for life. A certificate issued after one dose of vaccine is valid for the rest of your life.

What if I was vaccinated abroad?

That is fine – we can issue a Norwegian ICVP based on your foreign documentation. Upload a copy of your medical record, your vaccination card or other documentation in the form.

How do I get the certificate?

Once the doctor has approved the documentation, we fill in and sign the paper ICVP certificate and post it to the address you have given. The certificate must be on paper (with stamp and signature) to be valid at border control.

What if I have no documentation?

We need documentation of the vaccination to issue a valid certificate. Contact the clinic that vaccinated you for a copy of your medical record. If no documentation can be found, you may need to be revaccinated – you can then order the yellow fever vaccine from us.
