What is the difference between /prevensjon and /p-pille-fornyelse?

/prevensjon is a full consultation — for first-time users, when switching product, or when something new has come up. /p-pille-fornyelse is for those already on the pill and stable on it; the doctor does a targeted risk assessment. Same price (379 NOK), but a shorter flow.

How does automatic renewal work?

When the doctor approves the case, she sets an interval (typically 3, 6 or 12 months) based on what is medically sound for you. On the due date the doctor has set, we automatically create a new case and notify you by email, SMS and push notification. A doctor reviews it again and writes a new prescription if it is still medically sound. You pay 379 NOK per renewal, only once the doctor has approved it. You can cancel the subscription free of charge at any time in My page (Min Side).

Why does the doctor decide the interval and not me?

Norwegian practice (RELIS, the Norwegian Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics) is that the interval must be medically justified. For stable mini-pill users without risk factors, 6–12 months is often sound; for the combined pill, 3–6 months is more common because blood pressure should be checked more often. You can suggest an interval in the free-text field, but the doctor makes the final decision.

What about blood pressure?

For the combined pill, Norwegian guidelines recommend a blood pressure measurement at least once a year. Blood pressure can be measured free of charge at most pharmacies. For the mini-pill this is less critical. The doctor assesses this individually.

Question 5

What if the doctor declines the renewal?

Then you pay nothing for the renewal itself, and the doctor sends you a short explanation in My page (Min Side) with a recommendation for further follow-up (e.g. a full consultation or your GP).

Do you store card details for automatic payment?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not store any card details. Each renewal is paid separately — you get a notification and confirm the payment on the date of your next prescription.
